Pastor Kevin Townsend has served the Assembly of Sunnyslope Christian Center since January of 1989. He moved to San Benito County in 1965. A native of the state of California, Pastor Townsend spent his childhood in Hollister, CA. Pastor Townsend enjoys sports of all kinds, but especially football. He also enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and children. Pastor Townsend received his ministerial training at Gavilan Community College in Gilroy, CA. He attended Bethany College of the Assemblies of God in Scotts Valley, CA, and Jimmy Swaggart Bible College in Baton Rouge, LA. He has served in the Youth, Associate, and Senior Pastorate roles at Sunnyslope Christian Center for 15 years. He and his wife Jacqueline were married in Hollister, CA, on February 21st, 1986. They have three children - Stephanie, Kristen, and Kevin. The whole family takes an active role in the Ministry here in Hollister. Pastor Townsend's hearts desire is to reach the lost of Hollister with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Townsend and staff warmly welcome the Community of San Benito County to worship with us at Sunnyslope Christian Center.
